The countdown for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has begun as the biggest cricketing extravaganza will kickstart on March 22, 2025. IPL 2025 has turned out to be bigger and better as all the 10 franchises will be locking horns with their new teams. For the unversed, the IPL 2025 Mega Auction took place last year in Riyadh. Punjab Kings went into the IPL 2025 mega auction with the highest remaining purse of Rs. 110.5 crore, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore with Rs. 83 crore. As a result, Preity Zinta Co-owned franchise secured multiple deals with top players. Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting is the team's mentor and the franchise shelled out Rs 26.50 crore to secure Shreyas Iyer's services in IPL 2025.
For the unversed, last year, Shreyas Iyer led the Kolkata Knight Riders' team to tournament victory. However, Iyer in one of his interviews revealed that he did not feel that he was given much credit for KKR's IPL 2024's victory. Hence, Iyer changed the squad and moved to PBKS. Ticket sale for Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals on April 5 is already going on. PBKS vs RR will take place on April 5 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium, Mohali. The starting price of the ticket is Rs 1250. The most expensive ticket for the match is being sold at Rs 12,500. It will be Corporate Box SB 7 and only a few tickets have been left. Guests under this will also be served food and alcohol.
