Rashmi Rocket: Is Taapsee Pannu BACKSTABBING Akshay Kumar? Watch fun promos of TKSS

Taapsee Pannu will promote Rashmi Rocket in an upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, where the host will grill her about removing Akshay Kumar from her films.

In a forthcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Kapil Sharma will toss some bouncers at Taapsee Pannu. Taapsee is seen having a good time with her Rashmi Rocket co-stars Supriya Pathak, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Abhishek Banerjee in the promos published by Sony TV channel's social media handles.

While Kapil teases Taapsee for "throwing out" Akshay Kumar in her film Rashmi Rocket, he also points out her addiction with sports in her previous films, including Soorma, Saand Ki Aankh, and now Rashmi Rocket.

In the clip, Kapil says, “Taapsee ne kaafi saari films ki jin mein woh athlete bani hain. Soorma or Manmarziyaan mein inhone hockey kheli, Saand Ki Aankh mein inhone rifle shooting ki or aane wali film inki cricket ke uper hai or ab jo film hai usmein athlete bani hain. Toh aapne acting a course kiya hai ya PT Usha ka?(Taapsee has played the character of an athlete in a number of films.) She played hockey in Soorma and Manmarziyaan, rifle shooting in Saand Ki Aankh, has another film coming out on cricket, and will reprise her role as an athlete in Rashmi Rocket. Did you take an acting class or a P.T. Usha class?)”

Kapil makes fun of Mission Mangal and mentions Taapsee's tiny, career-defining role in Akshay Kumar's Baby, which led to her own film Naam Shabana. He claims that Taapsee performed Baby with Akshay and then withdrew the actor from Rashmi Rocket, and that she subsequently did Mission Mangal with Akshay and removed him from Rashmi Rocket.


The guests will be Taapsee Pannu and her crew, who will be promoting their new Rashmi Rocket. Rashmi Rocket is premiering  on ZEE5. Taapsee portrays a sprinter who defies the antiquated gender testing that still exists for female athletes.


Akarsh Khurana directed Rashmi Rocket, which is Taapsee's first cooperation with the complete cast and director.
