A question mark has been raised on the Intelligence Wing of Punjab. After the formation of the AAP government in Punjab, a big change was made in the police department in which many new officers have been deployed. After the formation of the government, there have been 4 such big incidents that have raised questions about the functioning of the department.

The question that has arisen is whether the Intelligence Department has completely failed to maintain peace in Punjab? Are the officers of the department not doing their work properly, due to which the state is suffering?

Know those 4 incidents that raise questions about the functioning of the Intelligence Department:

First incident

Intelligence Headquarter attack:

In a significant security lapse, a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) was flung at the third floor of the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Sector 77, Mohali. There was no casualty in this attack, but the terrorists tried to disturb the system.

Second incident

Patiala Violence:

The conflict between Hindus and Sikhs in Patiala. The incident in Patiala has also raised questions about the functioning of the department. In Patiala, there was a violent confrontation between the Shiv Sena and the Sikh Jathebandis, due to which a curfew had to be imposed there. Although the police of Patiala were changed after this incident, the officers of the Intelligence Department were not changed.

Third incident

kabaddi player murdered in Jalandhar:

After the government was formed, the Kabaddi player was killed, in that too it was revealed that the gangsters had committed the murder and Sandeep Nangal was killed in the shootout. This incident also proved that the Intelligence Department is proving unsuccessful in controlling the Gunsagateras.
At least 20 bullets were pumped into his head and chest. The disturbing video of the crime went viral.

Hailing from Nangal Ambian village in Shahkot, Sandeep was a professional circle kabaddi player and played in the stopper position. He had ruled the sport for more than a decade and played in Canada, the US and the UK, other than Punjab.

Fourth incident

And the biggest crime of all time, the murder of Sidhu Moosewala:

Punjabi singer Moosewala was shot openly, in which he died. The weapon used in this incident has been imported from Russia.
In the last month, two big weapons have been used, one of which is a rocket launcher and the other is a Russian weapon. Both these weapons have been used by one of the terrorists and the other by the killers to kill Sidhu Moosewala. Because of this, such weapons have not been used by the gangsters.

The use of such dangerous weapons shows that the intelligence wing has proved to be weak. It is worth mentioning in this that DG Prabodh Kumar of the Intelligence Department, his appointment has been opposed by his own members of the party.

His appointment was opposed by the party’s own MLA and former IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap IPS, to which Bhagwant paid no attention. After the formation of the Mann
government, he was entrusted with the Intelligence Department.

Now it has to be seen whether the government makes any changes after the failure of the Intelligence Department.
