A horrific incident took place in the heart of Jalandhar. A nurse of the Pearl Eye and Maternity Home was brutally murdered while the condition of another nurse is critical. This incident took place last night in the hospital located near Sangha Chowk in Green Model Town.
The attack took place on the rooftop of the hospital’s hostel. Some of the unknown persons attacked the nurses with sharp weapons. The nurse who has been seriously injured has been admitted to Ghai Hospital for further treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Baljinder Kaur, a resident of Beas and the other critical one is Jyoti, a resident of Phagwara.
Last night at around 2 am, when a nurse went to the roof of the hospital, she saw both Jyoti and Baljinder lying in the pool of blood and seriously injured.
Baljinder was confirmed brought dead while the condition of Jyoti remains critical.
After this incident took place, the Police were immediately informed about the whole matter by the staff of the hospital. The killers likely entered the room of the nurses through the roof of the hostel.
A broken piece of sharp-edged weapon was also found during the investigation. The reason for the murder is still unknown but the police have assured to check the case from every angle possible.
