The law & order in Jalandhar seems to be on a toss. Every day there are cases of murder, robbery, theft, etc. In the latest development, 2 vehicles were attacked by a group of robbers late at night on Friday. The incident was reported near BSF Chowk, Jalandhar. The probe is underway.
Reportedly, a single family was travelling from Jalandhar to Delhi in two cars from Model House. The vehicles stopped at a petrol filling station near Khalsa College and then left from there. A group of attackers saw them near the petrol pump and started following them for Khalsa College. Talking about the family, one car was driven by Ajay Suri and second, was being driven by his son Shivansh. As per information, Shivansh called Ajay Suri near BSF Chowk and told him that a black colored car had been following them for a very long time. He added that they are asking him to stop the car.
Ajay Kumar asked his son to stop the vehicle when he sees an open petrol station. Delhi-bound family stopped the car at a petrol pump near BSF Chowk, two assailants in the black Verna car number PB-09AM-7999 came with iron rods. The attacker tried to attack his head but as he was trying to save him, the rod hit his arm. The other male members of the family then clashed with them and fought bravely. The miscreants then fled from the scene.
An FIR was registered against the miscreants by Jalandhar Police. The car has been seized by the police and statements of all family members have also been recorded. The investigation is underway to arrest the attackers.
