Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural, who switched from Aam Aadmi Party AAP to Bharatiya Janata Party BJP over two months ago, has asked for withdrawal of his resignation as MLA on Sunday. He has sent a letter to the Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Sandhwan to withdraw his resignation filed on March 28, 2024. The resignation filed by MLA Angural on March 28 was still pending with the Speaker.

As per reports, Angural has said in his letter to the speaker that if his resignation is accepted, re-elections would have to be held in the Jalandhar West constituency, which would have also increased the election expenses of the government. This is the reason, why he is withdrawing his resignation.

It is pertinent to note that the Assembly Speaker had called Angural on June 3. But Angural himself has withdrawn his resignation before that. There has been no response from MLA Angural in this regard at the moment. However, Sheetal Angural's facebook page does not have 'Modi ka Parivar' written in the title. It seems to have been removed since yesterday.
