Jalandhar Police has arrested gangster Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike’s opposing gangster along with his 3 henchmen. The arrested gangster has been identified as Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa Harike, resident of village Harike in the Tarn-Taran district of Punjab. The police have recovered 3 weapons and about 14 live cartridges from the arrested. The police have registered a case under various sections including the Arms Act against the accused.

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma informed that this was the result of an intelligence operation conducted by the police. The accused reportedly used to get weapons and heroin supplied from Pakistan through the use of drones. Following the retrieval, the drugs and ammunition were supplied throughout Punjab. Jassa's henchman had come to the city for supplies who were subsequently caught on the basis of secret information, according to the police. After interrogation, the police arrested three people including Jassa one by one.

The Commissioner said that during preliminary interrogation it was revealed that Jassa runs against the terrorist Landa Harike, who belongs to the same village. Jassa is also on a target of Landa. Jassa admitted that earlier he used to work together with Lakhbir only. Both Lakhbir and Jassa used to run fish ponds in village Harike. There was a dispute between the two regarding their earnings after which both of them started moving against each other.
