If you are from Jalandhar, you must have witnessed intensive road construction work in the past few days. While at times you may have uttered curse words due to a heavy traffic jam sparked by road construction, many times you must have appreciated the work that is being done by the Punjab Government and state administration. In March 2025, Jalandhar's Budget 2025-26 of Rs 531 Cr was passed during the first house meeting of the Municipal Corporation of the newly elected Mayor Vaneet Dhir. Dhir had promised to work on the development of Jalandhar before he was elected as the Mayor. Now, construction of roads is going on in the city on a very large scale. Many roads are already completed, while many are yet to be completed.
