JNUEE 2021: NTA extends application submission deadline, check new date here

National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for the submission of the application for the Jawaharlal Nehru University entrance exam 2021.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline to apply for the Jawaharlal Nehru University entrance exam 2021 or JNUEE 2021. The new last date to apply for the exam is 31st August 2021, earlier the last date was 27th August 2021. The registration was started on 27th July 2021. 

Interested candidates may apply for the entrance exam through the official website of the university – jnuexams.nta.ac.in. 

The date has been extended by NTA after receiving requests related to the regard. 

Official notification by the testing agency read, “Registration for the above exam commenced on 27.07.2021 and is scheduled to be closed on27.08.2021. Pursuant to representations from candidates to extend the last date for submission of online forms and to ensure larger participation of candidates in the exams, it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of online application for JNUEE-2021 up to 31.08.2021.”

It further read, “Candidates are advised to be in touch with the NTA website(s) www.nta.ac.in, https://jnuexams.nta.ac.in for any update in this regard.”

JNUEE 2021: Revised schedule

  • The last date for submission of online applications is 31.08.2021 (up to 5.00 pm)
  • The last date for payment of the fee online is 31.08.2021 (up to 11.50 pm)
  • Correction window from 01.09.2021 to 03.09.2021

Admission at JNU depends on the performance of the student in the national-level entrance exam – JNUEE. The student’s final selection is based upon the performance of candidates in the computer-based test (CBT) for all programmes, except for Ph.D. courses. For admission in Ph.D. courses, the student has to appear for viva-voce. The final merit list consists of 70 percent weightage to CBT and 30 percent to viva-voce.
