John Abraham tweeted to announce that his film "Satyameva Jayate 2" will hit screens on May 13. Incidentally, it is the same day as Salman Khan's film "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai". Unveiling the poster of the film, John revealed that he is donning a double role and seen engaging in a fight. Satyameva Jayate 2 will now release on Eid, a day early on May 13 in cinema halls across the country.
John wrote, "This EI' it's SATYA vs JAY as LADENGE iss SAAL, Dono BHARAT MAA KE LAAL! #SatyamevaJayate2 releasing this EID on 13th May 2"21.”
The action drama also features Manoj Bajpayee and Divya Khosla Kumar. The film has been directed by Milap Zaveri. Milap has written films such as "Desi Boyz" and "Shootout At Vadala" in 2016, which also starred John. Milap directed the actor in the"film "Satyameva Jayate" in 2018.
The sequel was originally slated to release in October last year but got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic. The film has been produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishna Kumar's T-Series and Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhi' Advani's Emmay Entertainment.

The sequel will take a departure from the original's Mumbai setting, will see Abraham's character fighting corruption in Lucknow.
Earlier, Salman Khan had announced that Radhe will hit theatres on May 13 and said he will honour his commitment by releasing his film on Eid. Khan mostly releases his movies on Eid, which has remained synonymous with the superstar for some time now.
