Junior Tendulkar all set to rock the pitch of MCA grounds

Out of many other teams who auctioned for Arjun, North Mumbai Panthers raised the highest bid of Rs.5 lakh

Cricket Lord aka the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar son Arjun Tendulkar was picked up for T20 Mumbai League by Akash Tigers on Saturday.  Arjun, who is a budding left arm pacer and a batsman, was bided in for Rs. 5 lakh. Being good at balling and batting, he was chosen under the all rounder category under a base price of Rs.1 lakh.
 
The debutant cricketer has played unofficial U-19 tests for India. Out of many other teams who auctioned for Arjun, North Mumbai Panthers raised the highest bid of Rs.5 lakh, which is the maximum bid amount. Charu Sharma, who was conducting the auction, gave the two new teams -- Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburb and Eagle Thane Strikers -- an option to exercise OTM (Opportunity to Match).

After the OTM - a sort of chit system, was announced, a member of the Mumbai Cricket Association, Umesh drew a chit and the name of Akash Tigers came out and that how Junior Tendulkar was chosen for Akash Tigers.
 
Master Blaster of cricket Sachin Tendulkar is the Brand ambassador of this league. Seems like Sachin paved a road for his son.
 
Other players like Suryakumar Yadav, Akash Parkar (Triumph Knights Mumbai North East), Shivam Dube, Siddhesh Lad (Shivaji Park Lions), Prithvi Shaw (North Mumbai Panthers), Jay Bista and Dhurmil Matkar (SoBo Supersonics), Shubham Ranjane, Tushar Deshpande (Arcs Andheri), Shreyas Iyer, Eknath Kerkar (Namo Bandra Blasters) were taken away by other six teams. While Aditya Tare, Sarfaraz Khan Dhawal Kulkarni and Shams Mulani (Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs) were chosen by the two new teams in the eight-team incident.
 
Charu Sharma before the auctioning was announced, had seven U-19 players. Batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal was not available for the league.
 
The league is set to begin from May 14 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which is the playground for Mumbai Indians, which qualified for the playoffs recently. The stadium is also famous for the winning six of 2011 World Cup, by MS Dhoni.
