Kamal Haasan 'HITS' 26 push-ups in a viral video at 67, Director Lokesh Kanagaraj & Fans remain stunned; Watch

Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a throwback video from the sets, in which the 67-year-old actor was seen doing 26 pushups. After the video was posted, fans of the actor reacted to his physical feat with disbelief.

Kamal Haasan Push-ups Viral Video: Kamal Haasan may be approaching his 70s but the actor is quite fit. In his latest release Vikram, Kamal nailed several fight scenes. On Tuesday, the film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a throwback video from the sets, in which the 67-year-old actor was seen doing 26 pushups. After the video was posted, fans of the actor reacted to his physical feat with disbelief.

Sharing the video on Twitter on Tuesday, Lokesh Kanagaraj wrote, "Video as promised @ikamalhaasan sir...he did 26...I missed the first two records." He ended the tweet with a line from the film's popular song Once Upon a Time: "The Eagle Landed". In the video, Kamal can be seen doing pushups against a prop cannon on the sets of the film. A day back, Lokesh had teased the video when he posted a short video of Kamal's workout and wrote, "Full video will be out tomorrow".

Responding to the tweet, a fan wrote, "Really, is the 67?" Many others also expressed disbelief at how smoothly the actor did pushups at his age. One tweeted, 'Most fitter than many young actors'. One fan even claimed, "He is the fittest actor in India, he doesn't need a six-pack."


Vikram is an action thriller that is part of Lokesh's newly established cinematic universe. The film, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, has already garnered over ₹400 crores at the box office making it Kamal's most successful film to date and the second highest-grossing Tamil film after Rajinikanth's 2.0. is film.

The film is the spiritual successor to Kamal's 1986 film of the same name, in which he played a superspy. It is also linked to Lokesh's previous film Kaithi. The franchise will now continue with Kaithi 2 and Vikram 2. Suriya, who was introduced in a cameo in the film's climax, is the over-villain of the franchise.
