The murder of Ludhiana influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi aka Kanchan Kumari has left the social media fraternity and people of India in a state of shock. Amritpal Mehron and his two aides killed Kamal Kaur Bhabhi as she continued to post content on social media despite their warnings. As per Bathinda Police, Amritpal and his associates were not fine with Kamal Kaur posting content on social media as they felt that her content was vulgar and impacting the youth. Following the murder of Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, strong reactions have come from all across, including Mika Singh and MP Harbhajan Singh, condemning the incident.
Kamal Kaur Bhabhi Case Update
As per reports, Kamal Kaur Bhabhi's post-mortem report has confirmed that she died due to suffocation after being strangled. Police have now officially issued arrest warrants for the prime accused, Amritpal Singh Mehron, who fled to the UAE soon after the crime. Efforts are underway to send his arrest warrant to UAE authorities to initiate the extradition process. While two accused, Jaspreet Singh and Nimratjeet Singh, have been arrested and are currently being interrogated, Amritpal remains absconding. Police revealed he had taken a flight from Amritsar to UAE on the morning of the murder.
As per the Police officials, interrogations of the arrested accused revealed that Amritpal had been plotting Kamal Kaur’s murder for the past three months. He involved Jaspreet and Nimrat in the plan, and together they tracked Kamal’s movements in Ludhiana. The trio stayed at hotels near her residence, conducting a detailed recce in the days leading up to the murder.
How did Amritpal Mehron lure Kamal Kaur Bhabhi to come to Bathinda with him?
Amritpal initially contacted Kamal with an offer to promote a car showroom in Bathinda. She declined due to her mother’s ill health. Amritpal then contacted her again, promising to renovate her car, which convinced her to meet. On June 9, Amritpal, along with Jaspreet and Nimrat, drove from Moga to Ludhiana in a Scorpio SUV. Kamal was picked up near Apollo Hospital in her own Hyundai Eon car.
Amritpal sat in the backseat of her car, while the Scorpio with Jaspreet and Nimrat followed. Upon reaching Bathinda, Amritpal switched cars, and Nimrat accompanied Kamal in her Eon.
Kamal Kaur Bhabhi's murder details
Kamal’s car was taken to a garage where work continued from 5:00 PM until 12:30 AM. Afterward, both vehicles roamed the city before heading to a deserted location. There, the trio forced Kamal to reveal her phone passwords after slapping her. Then, Jaspreet and Nimrat used a waistband cord (kamar-kas) to strangle her from both sides while Amritpal held her neck.
After the murder, they drove to a pre-planned petrol pump where two other accomplices, Ranjit Singh of Tarn Taran and an unidentified man, awaited them in a different vehicle. The accused parked Kamal’s car at Adesh Hospital’s parking lot around 2:00 AM. Jaspreet later realized he had left the waistband cord in the vehicle. The pair returned, retrieved the evidence, and parked the car again by 5:30 AM.
After the murder, Amritpal left for the UAE via Amritsar airport just after 9:15 AM on June 10. His departure was confirmed through passport tracking and travel history checks after a lookout circular (LOC) was issued.
Bathinda Police have also issued an LOC against Ranjit Singh, while continuous raids are being conducted to apprehend him and the unidentified accomplice.
