Kangana Ranaut, Payal Ghosh attack Anurag, Taapsee; label them as ‘tax chor’

The Internet has been divided with both celebrities getting balanced responses.

The income tax raid at Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap’s properties have split the internet with few supporting them and some calling them a thief. On Wednesday, searches were conducted across 30 locations alleging the filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, actress Taapsee Pannu, and others of manipulation and discrepancy of over 600 crores, involving Pannu's cash receipts of Rs 5 crore and Kashyap's former production house's profits of Rs 300 crore, among other discrepancies, said the I-T officials. Neither of the two have responded to the allegations. 

With this star, war has erupted on social media. While Kangana Ranaut and Payal Ghosh have openly spoken against Pannu and Anurag, on the other hand, Swara Bhasker and Anubhav Sinha took to Twitter to show their support for them.

In their tweets, both Kangana and Ghosh said Anurag and Taapsee were already suspected of wrongdoings. Ghosh tweeted, “A scam of 650 crores. That's what Tapsee and Anurag struggler Kashyap was hiding. Now the truth is out. Karma is a bitch they said. I saw its a great leveler. #TaxChor (sic).”

 

Kangana Ranaut tweeted, “They are not just #TaxChor huge transactions of black money has happened, did they get that money for provoking #Shaheenbagh riots or #republicdayviolence ...From where the black money came and where did they send the black money which isn’t accounted for? (sic).”

 

Taking this as an opportunity, Ranaut and Ghosh attacked Anurag Kashyap on the sexual assault charges levelled against him. Payal had in September 2020, accused Kashyap of sexually harassing her in 2013. However, Kashyap denied the allegations and termed them as an “absolute lie”. 

Payal Ghosh had tweeted, “The whole Maharashtra Government has come in support of Anurag Kashyap, it’s vividly clear. Why has no action been taken against Anurag Kashyap by Mumbai Police in spite of me providing enough evidence (sic).”

 

While today, Kangana wrote, “Is it a coincidence that each and every stakeholder of Phantom n Kwan has been accused by multiple woman of rape, molestation n harassment. If you don’t respect women, your very moral fibre is wrong, you are a born criminal, industry killed #MeToo but look one can’t escape karma (sic).”

Meanwhile, Twitterati has again shown how talented they are and that they can create memes out of any issue. From terming Kangana Ranaut as the happiest woman because of the raids on Kashyap and Pannu to tweeting that Kashyap’s next film would be called Raid. Look at a few memes that are going around on social media. 

One tweeted, “The title of next Anurag Kashyap's film will be 'RAID' starring Tapsee Pannu. #TaxChor (sic).”
