Kangana Ranaut to set big screen on fire as ‘Agent Agni’ in Dhaakad

Kangana Ranaut is all set to return to theatres on April 8, 2022, with her action spy thriller Dhaakad. The actor who was recently seen in Thalaivii as J Jayalalithaa, disclosed the release date on Instagram late Monday.


The film will be the first high-octane spy thriller starring a female actor in Bollywood. It's also the most expensive woman-centric film in the country. The movie is still in the making.

Dhaakad is described as a spy thriller in which Kangana plays Agent Agni. “She is fierce, feisty and fearless. #AgentAgni is all geared up to set the big screen on fire. 

Bringing to you the action spy thriller #Dhaakad that will hit theatres on 8 April 2022!” Kangana said on Instagram, sharing her various looks from the film.

"Dhaakad is not just a benchmark film for my career, but it will be a turning point for Indian cinema as well," said Bollywood's queen Kangana Ranaut, earlier. The film is a one-of-a-kind female-led action film produced on a large scale."

Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta play pivotal roles in the Razneesh Razy Ghai directed film. Dhaakad was scheduled to come out in October, however, it was postponed due to the pandemic and production delays.

The storyline of the film revolves around child trafficking and woman exploitation. The shot is being done in Bhopal, Mumbai, and Budapest.

The first look at the film and its actors has set the tone of a dark, violent, and fast-paced thriller. Razneesh Razy Ghai is the director, and Sohel Maklai and Deepak Mukut are the producers. Soham Rockstar Entertainment, in collaboration with Sohel Maklai Productions, Kamal Mukut and Asylum Films are presenting the film.


Tejas, Sita and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda are among Kangana's other projects. She'll also star in the upcoming political drama Emergency as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
