Kapil Dev rushed to Delhi hospital, suffers heart attack

Kapil Dev underwent an angioplasty treatment, following which he is currently stable

The year 2020 has already been a shocking one be it pandemic and be it the deaths of many celebrities of India. Now 1983 World Cup-winning captain, Kapil Dev, was rushed to a Delhi hospital on Frida after a complaint of chest pain. He underwent an angioplasty treatment, following which he is currently stable.

Delhi's Fortis Escorts Heart Institute released an official statement and said, "Former Indian Cricket captain Mr. Kapil Dev, Age 62 years, came to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (Okhla Road) emergency department at 1:00 am on 23rd October with a complaint of chest pain. He was evaluated and an emergency coronary Angioplasty was performed by Dr. Atul Mathur, Director of Cardiology Department, in the middle of night. Currently, he is admitted in ICU and under close supervision of Dr. Atul Mathur and his team. Mr. Kapil Dev is stable now and he is expected to get discharged in couple of days."

Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) President Ashok Malhotra said that Kapil was feeling unwell on Thursday following which he was taken to the hospital. Ranveer Singh starrer biopic movie on Kapil Dev is also pending to release in theaters.
