BJP leader Kapil Mishra: Our unity will dig grave of 20 per cent vote bank, following Kejriwal, Owaisi will also start reciting 'hanuman chalisa'

BJP leader Kapil Mishra, known for making apt remarks on opposition, has already received a warning from the Election Commission for his provocative slogans while campaigning for his party in lieu of Delhi Polls.

He has now said that, if the majority stands united, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi will start tochant the Hanuman Chalisa.

While referring to Arvind Kejriwal chanting the Hanuman Chalisa during an interview when asked if he was a Hanuman bhakt, prior Delhi Assembly Elections, Mishra took it on twitter and said, "Kejriwal has started reading the Hanuman Chalisa, now Owaisi will also start reading it. This the power of our unity. We should remain united and vote as one force. Our unity will dig the grave of the dirty politics played by the 20 per cent vote bank."

However, last week the Election Commission has imposed a two-days ban on Kapil Mishra, who is to contest election from the Delhi's Model Town constituency over his controversial tweets.

The ban appeared after Mishra's tweets of January 22 and 23. He had also compared Delhi polls as a fight between India and Pakistan on February 8.

EC ordered ban on Mishra by referring to tweets like, "Delhi mein chote chote Pakistan bane (Number of mini Pakistan has been created in Delhi)", "Shaheen Bagh mein Pakistan ki entry", "India Vs Pakistan February 8 Delhi", and AAP and Congress have created Shaheen Bagh like Pakistan.

After receiving complaints, Twitter took down one of his controversial tweets. An FIR was also lodged against Kapil Mishra under section 125 of the Representation of the People Act dealing with creating enmity among classes.

The Election Commission has also accused Kapil Mishra of violating provisions of the model code of Conduct dealing with aggravating existing differences or creating mutual hatred. He was also the BJP leader who first chanted the slogans of "desh ke gaddaron ko, goli maaro s***on ko" at a pro-CAA rally, asking to shoot protesters objecting to the new citizenship law.

However, Kapil Mishra continues with his polarising comments on Twitter.
