Kapurthala police put up posters against drugs under “You Share, We Care” initiative

This step allows anybody to share information on drugs or any other crime assuring that the identity of the informant will remain anonymous.

To tackle the menace of drugs, today, Kapurthala police set up posters across the district as part of the "You Share, We Care" programme. This step allows anybody to share information on drugs or any other crime assuring that the identity of the informant will remain anonymous.

Kapurthala police also took to Twitter to share information about the step and said, “Under the 'You Share We Care' initiative, today Kapurthala Police put up posters in the entire Kapurthala district so that anyone can directly share information on drugs or any kind of crime. The identity of the informant will be kept confidential.”

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh launched the campaign ‘You Share-We Care' on July 12 by seeking public assistance through the new helpline number 91155-25501.

During the launch, SSP stated that anybody can share any information about drugs or illicit liquor smuggling. He stated that anybody with knowledge of the drug supply network or liquor smuggling can call this helpline for immediate action.

He went on to say that the helpline will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
