Kirit Somaiya's video has become the talk of the town ever since a Marathi news channel aired a private clip alleging that the man in question was the veteran BJP leader. Kirit Somaiya's video has been trending on Twitter from Tuesday and people are puzzled if the man in the viral clip was indeed the BJP leader. For the unversed, Kirit Somaiya who has served as the Vice-President of BJP Maharashtra's unit came under the scanner of social media after a Marathi channel named 'Lokshahi' telecasted a video alleging that the person in the video is BJP leader Kirit Somaiya. In the purported video, the BJP leader was seen in a compromising position with a woman. Although the video was blurred first and then ran in the news package by the Marathi channel, Kirit Somaiya had already broken the internet. Notably, Kirit Somaiya stated that he was not in the video and wrote a letter to Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to start a probe to check the authenticity of the viral clip. Now, Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has reacted to Kirit Somaiya's leaked video.

Sanjay Raut on Tuesday was interacting with the media and briefing them on the opposition meeting in Bengaluru. Raut was talking about I-N-D-I-A, the name embraced by the 'united' opposition parties when he was asked about the video of Kirit Somaiya. Reacting to this Sanjay Raut said, "I don't know much about it. I haven't seen it yet. I will watch it later (tomorrow). As you sow, so shall you reap (Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni)."

As per reports, Maharashtra's Deputy CM who also holds the portfolio of State's Home Ministry Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday announced a high-level probe into 35 video clips, running into eight hours, that allegedly feature former BJP Lok Sabha MP Kirit Somaiya in a compromising position. Devendra Fadnavis stated that no one will be pared if found guilty. Leader of Opposition and Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Ambadas Danave raised the matter in the Maharashtra state legislative council. Danave presented a pen drive containing over eight hours of video clips and handed it to home minister Devendra Fadnavis for an in-depth probe.

Before this, Kirit Somaiya has penned a letter to Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and requested him to launch a thorough probe into the matter over the authenticity of the viral video. "A video clip of me was shown on a news channel. Claimed that I have harassed many women & many such video clips available & complaints received against Me..I have never abused any woman..Request ..@Dev_Fadnavis.. to investigate such allegations and verify the authenticity of Videos."
