The District Administration of Jalandhar has unveiled revised collector tax rates, effective from May 22, 2025, resulting in a significant shakeup for property buyers and investors across the city. The updated rates, which have risen by 10% to 40%, are intended to improve tax accuracy and prevent the undervaluation of properties during registration. The hike is set to impact both residential and commercial property transactions, with some of Jalandhar’s most prominent commercial zones seeing steep increases.

1. PUDA complex, Jalandhar (32 Lakh per Marla)

The PUDA Complex, located near West Jalandhar along Model Town Road, also known as Purani Jail, is now the city’s most expensive commercial address. Situated in the heart of Jalandhar, this area is a hub for government offices, high-end showrooms, and corporate establishments. Its proximity to Civil Lines, the district administrative headquarters, and major arterial roads makes it a prime choice for businesses seeking prestige and accessibility. The recent collector rate hike has pushed its value to an unprecedented ₹32 lakh per marla, reflecting its premium status. 

2. Model Town Jalandhar (20 Lakh per Marla)

Model Town, located in West Jalandhar, is well-known for its branded shops, upscale commercial markets, and thriving culinary scene.
