Following the strong commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to nab the accused persons in Sidhu Moosewala murder case, the Punjab Police have arrested at least eight persons for providing logistic support, conducting recce and harboring the shooters of renowned Punjabi Singer Shubhdeep Singh alias Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead on May 29.
In January, two associates of Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar arrived in Punjab from Haryana. Since then, they have been doing Moosewala Recce. From Moosewala's house through his escape, a thorough reconnaissance was carried out.
Moosewala, who left his house at around 4.30 pm on May 29 along with two persons- Gurwinder Singh (neighbor) and Gurpreet Singh (cousin), was shot dead by some unidentified persons. He was driving his Mahindra Thar Vehicle.
Those arrested have been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Kekda of Sirsa, Haryana; Manpreet Singh alias Manna of Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda; Manpreet Bhau of Dhaipai, Faridkot; Saraj Mintu of village Dode Kalsia, Amritsar; Prabhdeep Sidhu alias Pabbi of Takhat-Mall, Haryana; Monu Dagar of village Rewli in Sonipat, Haryana; Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb, both residents of Fatehabad, Haryana. The Police have also identified four shooters involved in the crime.
Whose role in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala?
Manpreet Singh from Manna s/o Sukhmander Singh r/o Ward No. 4 near Khanda Chownk, Talwani Sabo Bathinda. He provides a Toyota Corolla car to Manpreet Bhau to carry out this crime.
Manpreet Bhau from Dhaipai, PS Jaiton, Distt Faridkot. He delivered the corolla car to two persons provided by Saraj Mintu, who is believed to be a part of the group of shooters, who carried out the crime.
Saraj Mintu s/o Jaswant Singh from Village Dode Kalsia Distt Amritsar, Directed Manpreet Bhau to provide the car to two of his men, suspected to be the real shooters, on the directions of Goldy Brar (currently in Canada) and Sachin Thapan from Dattarnwali Distt Fazilka.
Prabhdeep Sidhu @ Pabbi resident of Takhat-mall PS Kalianwali Haryana. In January, Goldy Brar had sent his associate to Prabhdeep and on his directions Prabhdeep provided accommodation and other logistics and along with this person carried out a recce of the deceased Shubhdeep Singh’s residence and surrounding area.
Monu Dagar s/o Ram Kumar from vill. Rewli, Distt Sonipat, Haryana. Provided two shooters under the directions of Goldy Brar and helped assemble the team of shooters to carry out this murder.
Pawan Bishnoi from Fatehabad, Haryana Instrumental in delivering the Bolero vehicle used in the crime, to the shooters.

Sandeep Singh @Kekda s/o Baldev Singh resident of Kalian Wali Mandi, Distt Sirsa, Haryana On the directions of Goldy Brar and Sachin Thapan, Kekda along with another associate went to the deceased Sidhu Moosewala’s residence, in the afternoon of 29th of May, the day of the incident, kept an eye on his movement, waited for him to come out in his Thar vehicle, pretended to be a fan, clicked a selfie with the deceased and passed on accurate information to the team of shooters regarding the time of movement of the deceased, the vehicle being used, several occupants in the vehicle, absence of security personnel and was in touch with the handlers sitting abroad.

ADGP Parmod Ban said that the Special Investigation Team headed by IGP PAP Jaskaran Singh has been working strategically and cohesive efforts are being made to arrest the identified shooters and other accused persons involved in the crime.
The killers had come to kill Moosewala in January, according to the police investigation. However, during his reconnaissance, they discovered AK 47 commands stationed outside Moosewala's home. This was around the time that Moosewala announced his candidacy for the elections. The Punjab government had handed him 8 commandos at the time. This was also revealed by mobster Shahrukh, who was apprehended by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police and received a reward of Rs 2 lakh.
