Kota which is famous for providing world-class coaching institutes for students preparing and IIT-JEE and NEET is turning out to be a place of horror. Kota has witnessed a surge in suicides of students studying in the city. On Sunday, two more suicide incidents were registered taking the total toll of suicides in Kota to a whopping 22 in the past 1 year. As per reports, on Sunday, within four hours, two NEET aspirants allegedly died by suicide in two separate incidents in Rajasthan’s Kota, taking the total toll to 22 this year. As per the cops, 17-year-old, Avishkar Shambaji Kasle jumped from the sixth floor of his coaching institute's building in Jawahar Nagar at around 3.15 pm, minutes after walking out of a room on the third floor of the institute after taking a test.

After Avishkar jumped off from the institute's 6th floor, he was rushed to a nearby hospital by the institute's staff. However, Avishkar succumbed on the way. It is pertinent to mention here that Avishkar's suicide was caught on CCTV which is currently under the possession of the Police. However, there are few media organizations that have run Kota student's suicide CCTV on their channel showing the horrific incident. Notably, True Scoop News has decided not to incorporate the Kota Student suicide CCTV or Avishkar Shambaji suicide CCTV in its content as it may be disturbing for some of the readers.

As per reports, Avishkar Shambaji Kasle was a native of Maharashtra's Latur district and a Class 12 student. He was preparing for NEET UG in the city for three years and was living in a rented room in the Talwandi area with his maternal grandparents. Avishkar's parents are government school teachers in Maharashtra.

Moving on, just four hours after Avishkar's suicide, another report surfaced in which 8-year-old Adarsh Raj, who was also preparing for NEET, hanged himself in his rented flat in under Kunhadi police station area at around 7 pm.

Adaarsh's suicide came to the fore when his sister and cousin brother reached the flat around 7.30, they broke open his room, which was locked from the inside, and found Raj hanging from the ceiling. It is pertinent to mention here that Adarsh Raj was a native of Bihar’s Rohtas district. He had been preparing for NEET UG in a coaching institute in Kota for a year and was living in a rented 2BHK flat with his sister and cousin brother, who are also preparing for competitive exams.

It is pertinent to mention here that the cops were quoted informing that they did not find any suicide note from either of the students' room.

What does the initial investigation say?

As per the initial investigation and cops, the reason behind Kasle’s suicide is likely to be his low marks in the routine tests at the institute as he was scoring well earlier but dropped from 575 marks to 288 marks in the last routine test. Similarly, Raj, who also took a routine test at his coaching institute in Kunhadi police station area limits in the noon session on Sunday, was reportedly scoring low marks in the tests and was upset over the same, as reported and informed by the cops.

While there are 22 students already dead due to suicide in Kota, last year fifteen coaching students died by suicide. Kota is a coaching hub where around 3 lakh students from across the country are currently preparing for various competitive exams in different institutes of the city, suggest reports.
