Labour MP Tan Dhesi grateful to localites for electing all of his party’s candidates

The voting for these candidates began at 7 am on May 6 and concluded at 10 pm.

United Kingdom Labour Party’s Member Parliament from Slough Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi on Saturday extended his heartfelt thanks to localites for electing all but three of his party’s candidates.

It may be noted here that it was Slough’s local elections in which three party representatives contested against others. The voting for these candidates began at 7 am on May 6 and concluded at 10 pm.

Thereafter the ballot papers were verified the other day and the counting started on Friday, May 7 which went till May 10.

The councillors who have been elected now will work for the welfare of the society for the next four years.

Merry about the victory, Labour MP Dhesi took to the micro-blogging site to assure the localites that his party and elected representatives will work for a ‘better Slough.’

“Immensely grateful to the good people of #Slough for once again bestowing their faith in #Labour, by electing all but three of our council candidates,” Dhesi wrote.

He also thanked the people who took out their time to campaign for his party candidates in Slough.

“Thank you so much also to everyone who campaigned for us, day in day out,” he added.

He further assured that “On behalf of our councillors, let me say that they and I will work hard to deliver for you - for a better Slough.”
