“Learn English,” says Boris Johnson to the immigrants in the UK

The former mayor of London Boris Johnson urged the immigrants to learn English

Immigrants The-UK Immigration

The former mayor of London on Friday at an event for the Conservative leadership race in Darlington said that there are “too many parts of our country” and urged the immigrants to learn English.

He appreciated the diversity but insisted on the communities who he thinks are not doing enough to integrate into the society. Well, the developed country like the UK having wonderful cities like London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and many more with all the royalty is surely a dream place for many.

But for many years now the countries are heavily facing the problems due to welcoming immigration into the country. But they still cannot build a bridge because the countries are built with the contribution of different people from different parts of the world.

Appreciating each other cultures has been the norm for any country while engaging with their immigrants, but now the scenario has changed if you don’t possess the communicating skills accordingly then it will be mere disobedience.

Speaking on the same Boris Johnson said, “Now I think that the story of communities that have come to London and made their lives in London is amazing … waves have come to London and slowly they have changed, they have adapted, they have made their lives, and they’ve helped to make our national culture and they’ve bought into it. And that what I want for our country,”

“I want everybody who comes here and makes their lives here to be and to feel, British – that the most important thing – and to learn English. And too often there are parts of our country, parts of London and other cities as well, where English is not spoken by some people as their first language and that needs to be changed,” he added.

“People need to be allowed to take part in the economy and in society in the way that that shared experience would allow.”
