Inyet another big move, ex-Mumbai Police Chief Param Bir Singh who earlier wroteletter to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray making some serious allegations againstHome Minister Anil Deshmukh, has now moved to the Supreme Court seeking afull-fledged probe for the same.

Theformer Mumbai Police chief set off a major row on Saturday when he alleged thatDeshmukh had asked suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, who hasbeen arrested in the SUV case and is in NIA custody, to collect Rs 100 crorefrom Mumbai's restaurants, bars and hookah bars.

Asper information, Param Bir Singh has now also sought a CBI investigation intothe report submitted by Rashmi Shukla, which alleged wrongdoings in transfersand postings. He has urged the SC for the collection of CCTV footage of theHome Minister’s residence in Mumbai in order to prove the charges he had leveled.

Ifsources are to be believed senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi will be appearing forParam Bir Singh once the SC gives a go ahead and the matter is listed forhearing. Besides, the ex-Mumbai top cop has sought a stay on his transfer fromthe post of Mumbai Police commissioner.

Meanwhile,Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has given a clean chit toMaharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and said the allegations againstDeshmukh, made in former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh's letter, are"vague".

Addressinga press conference in Delhi today, Pawar said ,"From February 5 to-15,Deshmukh was admitted to hospital because of Corona and the hospital has issueda certificate...From February 16 to 27, he was in home quarantine and if yousee the former Mumbai Police Commissioner's letter, he mentions that inmid-February he was informed by certain officers that they got such and suchinstruction from the Maharashtra Home Minister."
