Davinder released a video statement on Wednesday requesting Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav to take action against the SHO of Police Division No. 6 who allegedly harassed and assaulted the Parantha vendor behind closed doors at the police station.

On the night of 29th December, comedian Kapil Sharma had reached Model Town with his wife Ginni Chatrath Sharma to eat parathas. The very next day, when the photos taken at the time in the night reached the police, the police registered a case under section 188 of IPC against Veer Davinder Singh in Police Station-6 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant).

Davinder Singh’s Statement:

He used to set up a paratha counter in Model Town, Jalandhar for the last three months. Where there was a lot of God's grace. Work was going good. Comedian Kapil Sharma came to him on the night of 29th December to eat parathas. His family was also with him. He ate the parathas and was full of appraisal.

The very next day, SHO Ajaib Singh of Jalandhar Police Station-6 and about 20-22 employees along with him came to his counter. The police took him with them and brought him to the police station. Veer Davinder said that was beaten up in the police station and was threatened. I appeal to the CM and DGP of Punjab to take action against the allegations being made.

Even after many days have passed, no action has been taken. He says that he only appeals for justice from the authorities. Veer Davinder Singh said- My life is also in danger. If anything happens to me, SHO Ajaib Singh and his team will be responsible. At the same time, I have set up a small counter, please allow me to set up the said counter.

The SHO had has accused all the allegations to be false. Even before this, allegations have been made by Veer Davinder Singh against the SHO of Police Station-6, Ajaib Singh Aujla. Which he termed as wrong and said that a complaint was given by the people of the area that parathas are sold at the said place till 2 o'clock in the night. Due to this their area remains disturbed.

This had been explained to Veer Davinder earlier also by higher officials, but he did not understand. Due to which a case was registered. All allegations of assault are false.

This was the case, Jalandhar Police had registered a case against Bir Davinder Singh for violating the orders of the Deputy Commissioner. He was arrested and later released on bail. After which Veer Davinder Singh had accused SHO of Police Station-6 Ajaib Singh Aujla of assault. Veer Davinder Singh has already given a press conference regarding this.
