The general public is often unaware of the power of social media. A common perception of the social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other websites and apps is that these for time-pass.

But social media can also be helpful in meeting someone who is separated. One such example is Armaan, who went missing yesterday.

The son of retired Lieutenant Colonel Vanit Passi went missing near Ladhewali Road 2 on Saturday. The young boy has been found from Singhu Border of Delhi.

In fact, after Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh tweeted on Sunday night, Delhi Police Chief Constable Joginder identified the child.

Armaan's father said he received information from Ramamandi on Monday morning that the Delhi Police head constable had met Armaan Singh at the border.

The boy also had a green bicycle. The boy was handed over to the colonel on his arrival in Delhi.

Within hours of the Chief Minister's tweet, news of the boy went viral on social media and was similarly identified by a constable posted at the Singhu border in Delhi.

The colonel's son took his bicycle in the afternoon and did not return till night, after which a search was conducted and a complaint was lodged in Rama Mandi.

When the news went viral on social media, CM also tweeted to DGP himself and was ordered to find the child.

After finding the child, the CM was also informed of the success in reuniting the boy and his family.

SHO Sulukhan Singh observed that the child himself could not go so far on a bicycle; he seems to have reached here on a vehicle.
