A video has gone viral from the Ludhiana district of Punjab where a girl climbed on the water tank in order to protest and also threatened to attempt suicide if her demands were not met. The incident is of Sherpur Area where the police officials received the information that a girl has climbed on a water tank and wasn’t ready to come down until her demands were not pondered upon.
The girl who was has got captured in the video said that she along with her family have falsely got implicated in the case and police are also not paying any heed to their requests. She further added that a few miscreants wanted to take over their shop and when her family refused to do so, they were accused under a false case. She demanded from the police to take strict action against the accused and also quash the case that has been registered against her.
When the information of a person protesting on the tank was received, the police officials of Moti Nagar police station reached the spot and tried to talk to the family sitting near the tank. The SHO, Sanjeev Kapoor while pacifying the family and the girl assured that strict action will be initiated against the accused.
Reportedly, the girl seen in the video has been identified as Lovepreet Kaur who lives with her parents in Transport Nagar. The family has 10 shops which have been given on rent by them. She further added that from some time back the tenants tried to take hold of one of her shops after which a case was also registered against the accused but no solution has been found for the problem till now.
The SHO has stated that after carrying out a proper investigation of the whole matter, appropriate action will be taken against whosoever is found guilty.
