Overa month after getting the second dose of coronavirus vaccine, Ludhiana'sCommissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday.
Doctorssaid he had taken a second dose of Covishield on March 14.
LudhianaPolice Chief took to Facebook to share the news, in a long fb post, he wrote, “Havingmanaged to keep COVID 19 away from me for more than one year, there was noguarantee that it won’t bother me”.
Hecontinued writing, “Till the post dinner walk on 17th April, I had no clue whatthe next day would be like. But on 18th April 2021 I woke up with body-ache,heavy head and when I tested, the temperature was 101”.
“SoI called for rapid antigen and RT-PCR. I was positive in rapid test and then inRT PCR, so began the treatment. I request all those who have come in contactwith me in last 7 days to isolate themselves and get themselves tested”,Agrawal said.
Headded that “Since I have taken both the vaccination doses so I presume that Ishould be much better than the rest. Doctors have prescribed me some basicmedicines. I am in home isolation and Hope to be alright soon”.
Hefurther said that CP office, the govt building where he operates from has thehighest hygiene and sanitation standards. “Still I could not escape”, he said.
