In an unusual event, panic gripped Ludhiana's posh Centra Greens colony after a leopard was spotted roaming in the society freely. Leopard was captured on the CCTV cameras installed inside the Centra Greens colony on Pakhowal Road in Ludhiana. As a result, the forest department arrived at the spot on Friday, however, the leopard is yet to be rescued. Hence, Ludhiana's Centra Greens Flat residents are staying at home as the leopard is yet to be rescued even after 28 hours of search. Notably, on Friday, Centra Greens Ludhiana Leopard video also went viral on social media and people were shocked to see how the wild animal entered into the posh society.

As per reports, the search for the leopard was carried out till 3 o'clock in the night. The Forest Department expected that there is a possibility that the leopard might come out for hunting at night but till now there has been no trace of it.

 

There is panic among the people in Centra Green and surrounding areas. On Saturday morning, people did not come out of their homes even for a walk. The area remains to be sealed like yesterday. Cages have been installed at many places in Centra Green to catch the leopard. The police team along with the forest department are deployed at the spot for the last 24 hours. A team of about 16 people is searching every corner for the leopard. 

 

The forest department officer has reportedly said that when the temperature decreases in the mountains during the winter, most of the wild animals come to the cities through canals. It is feared that the leopard reached Pakkhowal Road through the Doraha Canal.

 

On Friday morning, a person living in the society saw the leopard. After this, he alarmed the people living nearby and the Centra Greens flat. When he checked the cameras installed in the society, he saw a leopard roaming around. After this, the information was given to the Sadar police station.

Do not leave from the flat alone


The Forest Department has asked the people living in Centra Green through mail that no person should go out of the flat alone. If someone has very important work, then leave only in a group.

Keep children away from playing areas


The Forest Department says that nothing can be said yet about where the leopard is hiding. Therefore, children should not be allowed to go especially to play areas. Leopard mostly attacks children.

Avoid rumors


From time to time, information about the presence or absence of the leopard will be officially shared with the people. Therefore, avoid rumors.

 

Do not go out for morning or night walks

There is a special request to those taking morning and evening walks not to go out for walks late at night or early in the morning. Because leopard attacks very rarely during the daytime. Leopard attacks aggressively mostly at night. The security personnel of Centra Green are in touch with the forest department and police 24 hours. All the officers are constantly monitoring the CCTV.
