Madhya Pradesh CEO beats farmer with a belt for complaining through CM Helpline

Complaining on CM Helpline in Guna district of MP proved costly for a farmer as Janpad Panchayat CEO Gagan Bajpayee did not like the farmer's complaint, CEO grabbed the farmer by his collar and beat him up. According to reports, the CEO dragged the farmer around by his collar. He took the farmer inside the bathroom and beat him with a belt. The farmer was held hostage in the bathroom, the employees also supported Janpad Panchayat CEO Gagan Bajpayee. The farmer was beaten due to which he suffered serious injuries on his hands and back.

 

The farmer told that on February 28, at 12.30 pm, he had gone to the District Panchayat Chachoda office to get information about the complaint of the CM Helpline. Bhagwat Meena, a resident of village Mohanpur, told that the Kapildhara scheme was constructed at a cost of Rs 3.50 lakh. A well was to be constructed under which the amount was sanctioned. But the well was constructed only on paper and not in reality. While committing fraud in Kapildhara scheme, the Sarpanch and Secretary withdrew the amount of the well from the bank. When he complained about the alleged fraud through the Chief Minister's helpline, the CEO got enraged.

 

A case has been registered against the accused CEO Gagan Bajpayee under sections 323, 294, 342, 34 for assault by keeping him hostage.

 

Congress MP Digvijay Singh wrote on X “The state government should close the CM helpline because in the BJP government, it has become common for the officials to continuously assault the victims.” He further went on to say that “I have been given this information. If this is true then strict action should be taken against such unruly officer CEO Janpad Panchayat. (Translated)”
