Fisherman Nathan Martin has caught a fish with human-like teeth at the outer banks of North California. The photos of the fish have been viral on the internet. People in the USA have been freaking out as it had teeth that look like those of humans.

It was identified as the sheepshead, which has several molars to crush its prey. It is known as sheepshead because its mouth looks similar to the mouth of sheep. These fishes are mostly found near rocks, jetties, reefs, and even bridges. These fishes are also known as “convict fish” because of their black and white stripes.

The picture was shared by Jennette's Pier on Facebook on Tuesday and wrote, “Fisherman Nathan Martin caught the "nice toothy 9 lb" sheepshead fish.”

One of the pictures shows the sheepshead fish is seen flashing its pearly-ish white teeth.

According to American Scientists, these kinds of fishes are omnivorous as they have human-like teeth. The weight of the fish is between 5 pounds and 15 pounds. This fish uses its front teeth to crush its prey.

The picture has gone viral on the internet and people are excited as well as frightened because of this unique fish. One of the social media users wrote, “Is this where dentures come from?” Another user joked and wrote, “That fish has better teeth than me.” The third user said, “That’s terrifying.”

This is not for the first time that such fish has discombobulated the netizens. In February, a fisherman named Paul Lore caught a sheepshead in Melbourne. Then Paul said, “The teeth can only be described as human-like teeth, but upon further inspection, you'll notice they have rows of these teeth like a shark. Most of them have two to three rows with very strong bite power - not enough to take a finger but enough to make you never go near the teeth again.”
