Man chopped Aunt's body into 10 pieces after hammering her to death, dumps body parts near the highway in Jaipur

The 32-year-old murderer filed a missing complaint with the police and tried to misguide, confessed later upon interrogation

A man in Jaipur in his 30s killed his aunt and chopped up her body into 10 pieces right before dumping them in a remote area in the capital city of Rajasthan, the police informed.

Anuj Sharma first killed his 64-years-old aunt at his Jaipur-based home last week after an altercation that involved the deceased stopping Anuj to travel to Delhi for an event.

Anuj lived in Jaipur's Vidhyadhar Nagar with his father, sister, and his aunt Saroj- who had been staying with them after her husband's death. Arun's mother died last year of COVID-19.

The investigating police team while detailing the matter said, On December 11, Arun and Saroj were alone at home as his father and sister had gone to Indore. Arun wanted to go to Delhi, but Saroj stopped him which led to an argument. In a fit of rage, he hit her on the head with a hammer while she was making tea.

The police further went on to inform, “He then cut up her body into 10 pieces with a marble cutter and dumped them in a remote area along the Jaipur-Sikar Highway.”

The 32-year-old murderer had carried the body parts in a bucket and a suitcase and later went on to register a missing complaint and raised alarm looking for his aunt with the help of other relatives in an attempt to misguide the police.

During the investigation, police found that his statements were misleading, following which his activities were monitored. In CCTV footage, he was seen leaving his house with a suitcase and a bucket.

When Police started the hunt and confronted Anuj, he confessed to having murdered his aunt by hitting on her head with a hammer, police said.

"The killer is intelligent and educated. He appears to have psychopathic tendencies. The police suspected him as he filed a missing complaint, but CCTV footage did not show the aunt leaving the house, in fact, the CCTV showed him carrying a bucket and a suitcase out of the house," said Anand Srivastav, Police Commissioner, Jaipur. He further added, "We also found blood stains in the kitchen.”

Police toward the end that the man showed no remorse for killing her 64-year-old aunt who is a widow. The Jaipur Police has registered a case against Anuj for murder and destroying the evidence.
