In a horrific development, a man recently fired at two women from Jalandhar living in the US. Both the women were cousins and were shot in New Jersey, USA. In the firing, one woman died while the other continued to remain under critical condition. The attacker has been identified as Gaurav Gill and he too hails from Punjab. To be precise, Gaurav is a resident of a resident of village Hussainpur. On the other hand, the deceased in the firing has been identified as 29-year-old Jasveer Kaur, a resident of Noormahal. Jasveer Kaur's 20-year-old sister was also injured in the shooting, whose condition is critical. She is undergoing treatment in America.
After the deadly incident, the US police have arrested Gaurav Gill. Gaurav Gill was arrested by the authorities a few hours after the women were shot on Wednesday morning. According to the information received, Jasveer Kaur was married and her husband drives a truck. At the time of the incident, he had gone out with the truck. Both the injured sisters were immediately taken to a hospital in Newark after the incident. A US media portal quoted neighbor Josh Lenoff who said, "She was lying on the driveway. She was not really moving."
Initial investigation reveals that Gaurav and the 20-year-old girl used to study together in Jalandhar. Both knew each other. Both were in America, so Gaurav got a chance and shot the girl on Wednesday. Gaurav Gill was arrested by the police from his house. Gaurav Gill's arrest video has also emerged. In the CCTV, the American police can be seen taking the accused into custody. The police have also recovered the murder weapon from the accused.
Notably, the modus operandi behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
