At around 1:30 pm on Thursday, a large fire started on the third floor of the Galaxy Plaza Mall in Greater Noida's Gaur City 1 . To save their lives, some people were seen jumping off the building.
Vehicles from the fire department have arrived at the said location. The search and rescue effort has begun. People are seen dangling from the third level in the videos that have circulated. Efforts are being taken to save lives of people. People climbed to the roofs and used sticks to break the glass. The terrace was reachable by mall employees. The glass on the wall was attempted to be broken with the aid of sticks so that people could be removed from this area. After then, the rope was hung, but no one has been said to be saved yet. The area has been secured by police. The mall’s crowd has been cleared out.
One guy can be heard yelling "kud ja, kud ja (jump)" right before someone leaps to the ground amid a lot of commotion in one of the viral videos.

Sources claim that the incident was caused by a short circuit. Videos of the incident show the window spewing out a lot of smoke, along with a few people attempting to leap out to escape the fire. The rescue is still taking place and the fire department as well as the police is making sure to help everyone out of the mall safely.
