‘Mere Sohneya’ song of Kabir Singh gives a glimpse into Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s Romance

Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will hit the theatres on June 21. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie. Shahid will be playing the role of an alcoholic surgeon in the film. Kabir Singh narrates the story of a man who goes into a self-destructive path after his ex marries someone else. The trailer of the film has increased the expectations of the audience. 

The trailer along with its songs is being appreciated widely. And recently, a new song has been released named ‘Mere Sohneya’. 
The song gives a glimpse into the love story of the lead characters, and how both try to navigate life and romance.

Prior Mere Sohneya's release,Singer Parampara spoke about the song and said "Anyone who has fallen in love will connect to 'Mere Sohneya.' It has so much love that it got approved by everyone at the first hearing. Hope the audience will love it," Parampara added. The makers also dropped a new poster announcing the song's release.

Meanwhile, some people said that Kabir Singh showcases women in a derogatory manner. However, the director Sandeep Vanga came to the film's defence and said, “This is not arrogance, but I genuinely do not bother about pseudo-feminists and pseudo-sympathizers. There is not one place where I have shown women in a derogatory way. There is no bum or cleavage shot. I never asked my audience to look at the girl body.”

This is the third song from Kabir Singh after the instant hits, 'Bekhayali' and 'Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage'. Even before 'Bekhayali's official release, various covers had started making the rounds on social media.
