Mobile awareness van to sensitize people about the benefits of Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna: Ghanshyam Thori

Says, Van equipped with LED system would cover more than 200 locations in one month

Jalandhar, February 20 - With a view to sensitize masses about the benefits of AB- Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna, a mobile awareness van has been launched today on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori. 

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the awareness would cover as many as 200 urban and rural locations in next 30 days. The van is equipped with LED screen, where awareness messages would be displayed besides distribution of other awareness material. 

The deputy Commissioner said that the district administration was according top priority to cover hundred percent population under this ambitious scheme. He said that scheme offers cashless treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh in about 56 private empanelled hospitals of Jalandhar adding Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led state government has already increased its ambit by offering this facility to J farm holder farmers, yellow card holder and accredited journalists, and small traders. He called upon people to visit government healthcare establishments, Sewa Kendras and CSCs along with their Adhar Cards to get themselves enrolled under the scheme.

Medical Superetendent Dr. Parminder Kaur while flagging off the awareness van said that this van would cover the entire district in next 30 days i.e. February 20 to March 21, 2021. She said that the mobile van would visit all development blocks and urban areas to spread awareness about the benefits of this scheme as it aimed at strengthen people with top-class healthcare services. 

Prominent among present on the occasion included Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Jyoti Sharma, SMOs Ashoke Thaper, Dr. Gurmeet Lal, Dr. Mukesh Verma, and others.
