In Punjab, a video of taking bribe money has surfaced. This is the case in Ajitwal's Chuhadchak village in Moga's Moga district. A meter reader collected a bribe of 1,000 rupees from a household here. Then he was caught. When the meter reader noticed the video being taken, he instantly put two 500 notes in his mouth and began chewing them. When the villagers saw this, they stuck their hands in his mouth and took the bribe notes out. Officials from the Electricity Board have begun an investigation of the matter.  

A new duty was imposed to take the reading of the meter reader. He went to the village to check the meter. He informed a household that the meter had been damaged. In the house, there was just one woman. In the name of a fine, the meter reader intimidated her. Then he demanded a Rs1,000 bribe, claiming that the fine would not be levied. Because the meter is positioned outside the house, the villagers became enraged. When he asks for a bribe, they become angry.

When the villagers learned of the bribe, they decided to capture him. They got photocopies made of two 500 rupee notes. The notes were then retrieved from the meter reader. The villagers approached him as soon as he kept the note in his pocket. To getaway, a terrified meter reader pulled the money from his pocket and began biting it. When the locals saw this, they shoved their hands in his mouth and forced the notes out. At the same time, the meter reader claims that the meter is defective.
