Mom’s Love: Assam woman offers to breastfeed newborns who lost their mother to COVID 19 pandemic

This mom, who is the mother of a two-year-old baby girl, hopes to inspire other lactating mothers to assist mothers and babies in need.

With each passing day, the COVID 19 pandemic has gotten worse. Although the deadly virus's second wave has claimed thousands of lives, it has also spread shock, anxiety, and a sense of helplessness across the country. Even children are suffering during the pandemic, as everybody is fighting for every breath these days.

In the midst of the pandemic, a woman in Guwahati is winning hearts by offering to support newborns in the crisis and breastfeeding the babies in need.

, a mother of a two-month-old daughter, has volunteered to breastfeed babies whose mothers have died as a result of the pandemic, as well as women who are unable to feed their children due to COVID 19.

This new mother took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Also, if any new born needs breast milk I’m here to help in Guwahati only, as I am here, reading about lot of babies mothers turning positive or passing away so do let me know if anybody needs it!” She captioned the post as, “Only for guwahati as I live here. If any new born needs breast milk I’m here to help. This is the least I can do at this time.”

Meanwhile, several other COVID 19 heroes have come to win hearts through their selfless service to humanity. Praveen Kumar, a municipal corporation employee from Hisar, was one of them, having organised a dignified funeral for more than 300 COVID 19 patients. Unfortunately, two days after testing positive for Coronavirus, he died from the deadly virus.
