A day after gangster Deepak Tinu’s alleged girlfriend's arrest from the Mumbai airport, Punjab Police stated on Monday that there is no information indicating that gangster Deepak Tinu has left the country. On October 1 night, Tinu, one of the suspects in the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala, escaped from the Mansa police's Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) unit.

Police stated that questioning his female companion will aid in locating him. They said that Tinu and the woman, who resided in Mohali's Zirakpur, managed to flee together. On Sunday, she attempted to flee to the Maldives but was stopped by a team from the anti-gangster task force (AGTF) at the airport.

Speaking to the media, Punjab Inspector General of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill denied rumors that the woman was a police officer and claimed that she had completed a makeup artistry course.

Gill said that Deepak Tinu had met his girlfriend at the home of Pritpal Singh, the former CIA in charge. Both thereafter drove away in a car.

When asked if the gangster had left the country, Gill responded that there is no evidence to support this. The officer stated, "We are quite hopeful that he will be captured soon.
