In a major upset, Afghanistan on Sunday defeated the defending champions England at the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. Mujeeb Ur Rahman's stellar performance with the bat and ball helped Afghanistan register their first ever victory on England. Defending Champions England were defeated at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi by a margin of 69 runs. Although Afghanistan's win over England was historic, the win turned emotional & memorable when a young started crying and hugged Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
After the completion of the AFG vs ENG WC 2023 match, a young boy in a white dress was seen crying and hugging Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Mujeeb Ur Rahman was seen trying to console the young fan. After this, boy crying and hugging Afghanistan player video went viral on social media and many stated that the young fan might be from Afghanistan. However, Mujeeb Ur Rahman has finally spoken up on the viral video.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman took to his official X handle, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, "It’s not afghani boy it’s one young Indian boy so happy for ur win It was absolute pleasure meeting this little guy from India Delhi last night (Cricket is not just a game it's an emotion) Big thank you to all our amazing fans for coming down and supporting us last night the love and support is overwhelming.
