NCP leader Majid Memon says 'Mumbai Police is now bound to act' after Rhea Chakraborty's drug chats revealed

Memon also said that it makes no difference who the person is or what the crime is.

Amidst the ongoing investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's case, entire India went into shock after the ED traced Rhea Chakraborty's WhatsApp chats with the drug dealers.  On the other hand, Rhea lawyer Satish Maneshinde rubbished reports of drugs and said that the actress has never consumed drugs in her life. 

The NCB Director Rakesh Asthana also said that the agency will be soon probing Sushant Singh Rajput's case. Now, NCP leader and lawyer Majin Memon in interaction with Times now said that while investigating a crime if it surfaces that any person is indulging in any activity which would fall within the definition of any of the provision under narcotics drugs act then in that event it becomes a duty of the investigating agency to apply relevant stringent provisions of NDPS act.

Memon also said that it makes no difference who the person is or what the crime is. Even if the crime of murder or abetment of suicide or any such offenses investigated and in the course of such investigations there are revelations that a person who-so-ever he or she be has indulged in any act which amounts to breach the provisions of the narcotics drugs act then in that event the police is duty-bound to slap and apply the relevant provisions of the drug act.

In the instant case also there is no exception that particular principle of law, added Memon. 

On the other hand, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh sidelines himself on the drug angle. Deshmukh in a brief interaction said that he will comment on this later.
