Punjab Congress is currently facing turmoil within the party as many leaders have secretly joined hands with cricketer-turned politicians against Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh over Sacrilege case and Kotkapura Firing case probe.

Sidhu has lashed out at CM several times alleging that Capt Amarinder Singh led-Congress has not allowed SIT to conduct a fair probe into the matters and the justice is being delayed.

Keeping mum on the matter for quite some time, CM lashed out at his former aide Sidhu and has challenged him to contest ‘elections’ against him from Patiala in 2022. Moreover, there are cabinet ministers who are in favor of their head representative of the state (CM). These leaders along with CM has asked the party High Command to take disciplinary action against Sidhu.

Amidst all this, clouds of assumptions have started building in the political lobbies after Navjot Sidhu took his micro-blogging site to extend ‘best wishes’ to Punjab CM.

“Most Welcome ... Please do your Best !! @capt_amarinder,” Sidhu tweeted.

This hinted at the disciplinary action taken against him by the Vigilance Bureau (VB), however, as such, there is no official consent.

According to the sources, Vigilance is about to launch the probe against Sidhu to check the developments that he had made while serving as the State Local Body Minister.

It may be noted here that VB would look into affairs related to buildings’ size and maps when a probe will be initiated.

Additionally, the sources claim that Punjab CM would soon fill the vacant position of Sidhu, who tendered his resignation on June 10, 2019, following a change in his portfolio. Since then the post is vacant and it would hail the new face in a few days.
