Navjot Sidhu’s recent tweet triggers speculation

Even after meeting with CM Capt Amarinder and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, the possibility of Navjot Sidhu’s reinduction into the Punjab Government continue to remain uncertain.

Once again Navjot Sidhu’s cryptic tweet has triggered speculations whether he will be back to Punjab Politics or he has some other plans.

The cricketer-turned-politician in his latest tweet said, “Arjun, Bheem, Yudhishthir saare sama gae itihaas mein. Par shakuni ke ‘paase’ ab bhee hain siyaasee logon ke haath mein !! daav khela hai Punjab mein .....!!!  



Though this cannot be judged what Sidhu was hinting about in his recent tweets, the people of Punjab however through their comments gave their mandate that how eagerly they are waiting for the former minister to get active in Punjab’s politics.

Meanwhile, it was on March 18 during the high-level press conference in Chandigarh, when questions were raised on speculation that Sidhu would seek the post of Deputy Chief Minister or PPCC president, CM Capt Amarinder Singh said that the decision will be taken by the party president, not me or Sunil Jakhar. He then also added that “If Sidhu wants my job, he can have it.”

Thereafter on March 19, the former Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu met Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi. “Congress top leadership is keen on getting Sidhu back to the mainstream politics ahead of the 2022 Assembly polls, but what exactly is destined for Sidhu, the right time will reveal”, said a senior Congress leader.

In addition, Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday also tweeted about the resumption of trade talks between India and Pakistan. Sharing a video of his old clippings, Sidhu in a tweet said, "Welcome step - possibility of opening trade relations - Unlocking infinite potential - Way forward for Farmers and Profitable Business”.
