Tollywood actress Shweta Kumari who was detained on Sunday in drugs case reached the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) office in Mumbai on Monday. The actress reached the NCB office by putting an orange scarf on her face. Going by the various media reports,  the actress was detained along with MD (a kind of drug) on Saturday night during a raid at a hotel in Mira Road, Mumbai.

However, Saeed, drug peddler who supplied drugs to the actress, managed to escape.

NCB officials said, "400 grams of MD worth Rs 8-10 lakh were seized in a midnight operation on Saturday. The actress was caught with a drug supplier from a hotel on Gurunanak Marg near Bandra railway station on Saturday night after a tip-off. Inquiries are going on with the actress regarding this matter."

Team of Zonal Director of NCB Sameer Wankhede had received secret information that a large consignment of drugs was going to come inside the city. After that, different teams conducted raid in Bandra, Versova, Mira Road late on Saturday night. The first raid was done Bandra area. A paddler was to arrive here to supply a consignment of an MD drug. The NCB caught a drug peddler named Chand Mohammed red-handed with 400 grams of MD drugs.

During the interrogation of Chand Mohammad, it was found that drug mastermind Saeed (age 25) was staying at a hotel in Mira Road. The other team then raided the Crown Business Hotel. However, Saeed managed to escape.
