As the number of body shaming remarks on the internet has increased, actors and actresses have begun to lash out at individuals who engage in it. The most recent is Neeru Bajwa, a well-known Punjabi actress.
The Pollywood actress Neeru Bajwa recently shared a photo of herself in a swimsuit on Instagram, and a nasty comment from one of her followers upset her. The actress politely answered with an Instagram post, stating her point of view forcefully. She also mentioned that her shot was taken by her husband.
This is not the first time actresses are facing body shaming. Other B town mothers like Shilpa Shetty, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also faced body-shaming.
Shilpa Shetty said that her experience of body shaming was "daunting." She said didn't get out of the house for five months. ‘After delivery, when I went with my husband for brunch and I heard some ladies were laughing and talking about my weight.’ she said.
She once talked about some body-shaming comments targeted towards actress Kareena Kapoor Khan. "As an actress, I can understand the emotion and pressure on her, especially when she is the synonym of a fit body. I had the same pressure when I became a mother," Shilpa once told to a local news agency.
