People on social media are in no mood to tolerate anything against Sushant Singh Rajput or Republic TV Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. While one section is boycotting Bingo allegedly for mocking Sushant Singh Rajput, another is slamming Zomato for acknowledging Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker's request.
Food delivery App Zomato on Thursday earned the rage of social media after it agreed to consider Swara Bhasker's request to stop advertising on Arnab Goswami's channel Republic TV.
Swara wrote, "Zomato loves UrHey @zomatoin @zomato@deepigoyal I’m your regular customer.. do u plan to #DefundTheHate & pull your ads from hate espousing channels like @Republic_Bharat ? I’m not okay with my money even indirectly funding this kind of communal bigoted hate! Pls let your consumers know.."
To that Zomato replied, "Hi Swara, please note, we don’t endorse any content except our own. That being said, we are looking into this."
Swara again said, "Thanks! Looking forward to a more detailed and thought- through response" After this netizens started to slam Zomato: A user wrote, "Zomato considers people like Swara who spreads hate and supports Umarkhalid in India.Zomato loves UrbanNaxals more. Zomato has large genuine customer base in India. Be ready to lose that." Another user wrote, "Why you are rethinking of giving ad to nationalist channel like #RepublicTV.Go & serve your sole customer @ReallySwara & get income from her.
