Christchurch: On Monday, Gun City, New Zealand's largest gun dealer, confirmed that four out of five firearms that the gunman used for Christchurch mass shooting, were purchased legally from the company.

The owner of Gun City, David Tipple, in a press conference said that the suspect purchased four guns from his online store. However, he also added that the semi-automatic fire arm used in the killing was not from Gun City. Tipple had also informed that the suspect when made the purchase, he had a legitimate A-class gun license. David refused to discuss further and also steered his side clean by stressing that his company did nothing wrong in selling firearms to the suspect.

In the backdrop of Christchurch attacks that claimed the lives of 50 people, Kumeu Militaria Show which the largest gun show in New Zealand had cancelled the event. On Sunday, the organisers on its Facebook page posted that in soliditary to victims of the Christchurch terror attacks, they have cancelled the event. Elevated security risks also led to the cancellation of the event.

Kumeu Militaria Show, an annual event which is the largest gun show in New Zealand, has been held for the past five years. The attacks on two Christchurch mosques in New Zealand on last Friday had questioned the country's gun laws. New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had pledged a change in gun laws and had also agreed on tougher gun laws in "principle."
