Today, August 1 the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Punjab raided several cities regarding terrorist connections. In Punjab, Dhurkot (Nihal Singh Wala) under Moga, village Pandher of Barnala, village Daulpur (Kishangarh) under district Jalandhar and village Dallewal near Goraya in Punjab, NIA has investigated the connection with terrorists and gangsters sitting abroad.

The home of the previous sarpanch and current head of the Akali Dal, Malkit Singh Daulatpur, was raided in the Jalandhar village of Daulpur, which lies close to Kishangarh. At around three in the morning, the NIA team searched Malkit Singh Daulatpur's home. The entire family was asleep at the time. Everyone was forced to sit in a different room while being questioned separately.

Similar to this, an NIA team searched Jaswinder Singh's home in the Moga district's Dhurkot village (Nihal Singh Wala) in relation to a gangster syndicate. Jaswinder is also being questioned by NIA officials on the gangsters who are currently abroad. The NIA team invaded Lavshindra Singh's house in Jalandhar's village Dallewal (Gorayan) before dawn. Lavshindra Singh has previously served as the president of the Sikh Student Federation. There are ongoing investigations into the link between Khalistani militants and gangsters in exile.

Khalistani sympathizers have demonstrated outside the Indian Embassy in England in protest of terrorists' deaths. Surinder Singh of Barnala's Pandher hamlet was also among those who unfurled the Indian tricolor flag outside the embassy during this protest. Surinder Singh's house in Dher village was invaded by the NIA team at 5 a.m., and the family was interviewed individually.

The NIA team also stormed the home of teacher Sarbjot Singh in Mohalla Ramgadiya in Haryana Bhunga town of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, at around 6 a.m. The NIA team also grabbed Sarbjot's phone after interviewing the family for two hours. He was summoned to the Delhi office on August 3rd.
