NIA raid in Tarn Taran: Interrogates IELTS center owner regarding foreign funding case

On Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out a raid in Tarn Taran, Punjab. This raid took place at an IELTS center in the village Karmuwala of Chohla Sahib, a town of Tarn Taran and an interrogation of its owner is on. According to reports, this probe is about foreign money. NIA has also seized some documents and electrical equipment.

The facility's owner, Amritpal Singh, has long overseen both the operation of the center and the accompanying tour and travel business. Apart from the IELTS center, a team also reached the house of owner Amritpal Singh, where Amritpal was also questioned. This raid was carried out in connection with foreign funding, although the NIA has not yet released any details.

The NIA checked some documents while conducting inspections at the center and Amritpal Singh's residence. CCTV camera footage has also been recorded after being inspected. The NIA has also taken some documents into custody.

The NIA team had also reached Tarn Taran for a raid a few days ago. This raid was done at the house of Lakhbir Singh Landa sitting abroad. The NIA was informed that Landa's home had served as a safe place for some terrorists and gang members. But only Landa's parents were found when the NIA arrived.
